Skiathos is an island of approximately 52 square km. It has a coastline of 45 km and there are about 5600 people.
Skiathos belongs to the Northern Sporades group of islands. These islands are known for their rich vegetation, polymorphic rocks, steep coastline, beautiful beaches with crystal clear water and the breezes that smell of the pine trees. All of this represents a magnificent setting for many impressive sunsets.
Skiathos is famous for its beautiful and many sandy beaches. Each corner, bay or cove has a large or small beach. Some are cosy tourist beaches; some others are wild and abandoned.
The capital of the island, Skiathos City, has a charming old port and many small streets where you can find cosy restaurants & many shops and bars. In the high season, you can also enjoy the lively nightlife.
THE PROPERTY
The private area where you can find the Villa Hakunamatata and guesthouse The Ski-hut, is a plot of 5000 square meter. The property was a former olive grove. The plot is 30 meters above sea level and 100 meters from the sandy beach of Achladies.
The distance from this idyllic place to Skiathos city is 2 kilometers. A bus stop is right opposite the villa and it is about 5 minutes walk to various supermarkets, bars and restaurants. From the beautiful sandy beach of Achladies, near to the villa and the guesthouse, also departs at regular intervals a sweet old taxi boat to the old port harbour of Skiathos Town.
